The Shoalhaven Coast was officially declared a new wine region in August 2002. This emerging boutique wine region on the South Coast of New South Wales, between Kiama and Durras, is producing award winning wines of excellence.

In particular, Cambewarra Estate Winery is located less than 2 kilometers from Waymount Farm and is an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.
The earliest recorded plantings of wine grapes in the region was in 1864.The first modern day vineyard was planted in 1976 with the maritime climate producing fresh, light and delicate white wines and soft elegant reds. A visit to the increasing number of cellar doors and wineries will reward the wine lover.
The Shoalhaven area has a unique network of distinctly different towns and villages, including Berry, Kangaroo Valley and Milton. “Bundanon”, the home and studio of Arthur Boyd which heads a leading cast of cultural activities to enjoy.
